About us
Aryline Australian Pony Stud is situated on 15
acres in Mardella nestled between Serpentine and Mundijong Western
Australia . The stud is run by myself, my husband Gary when he is
home and our boys.
Travis our oldest son gave up riding at 14 and
now at 21 is in the army and based at Townsville.
Rhys is 15 and has turned into a lovely rider
who enjoys working with the babies and showing in hand for me, Rhys
is head stable lad for us and it is hoped that one day he or his
brothers will continue the stud. He has dreams of being a mounted
policeman and his genuine love and respect of horses will I hope
see him reach his goal in life.
Kaden is 13 and has shown a great passion for
photography, many of his pictures will be shown on this site in
the coming years I am sure. Kaden has no desire to ride or show
but is an excellent gopher at shows and loves to play with the babies
and train them at home.
Jye our youngest is 11and has chosen his new mount
for 2007 Aryline Silver Sparklyn and they are busy getting used
to each other. Jye has been handling and working with her on the
ground and they are finally starting to work together as a team..
He is the comedian of the bunch always smiling and coming out with
funny things. Never where he should be at shows Jye can be relied
upon to be chatting to some one miles from where he should be or
just daydreaming while sitting on his pony.
An Aryline Pony is one that is as comfortable
in the show ring as they are in the bush, at the beach or pony club.
They are handled by children for children and as a result they all
show the lovely temperament Australian Ponies are known for.
All our ponies are well educated in all areas
from floating to clipping and are handled from birth. This is one
of the reasons that I run such a small band of brood mares as I
feel that any more than 4 foals a year would limit the amount of
handling each one receives as a young foal. I wean our babies at
around 4 months old as I have found that this works well for me.
Many studs and breeders have different views on this, I wean at
this age as my pony mares are always bordering on the obese and
feeding the foals whilst still on their mums is difficult if not
downright impossible. Weaning the babies means that I can feed each
one individually and monitor his or her diet. All our broodmares
are chosen not only for their pedigree's and confirmation but for
their individual temperament as I consider this a vital part of
a successful broodmare.
The boys and I look forward to showing you our
beautiful ponies. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site and would
welcome any comments you may have.
Please take the time to sign our guestbook. Visitors
are always welcome in person; please call first to ensure that we
are at home to show you around.
